Due to family matters there is no lecture on Tuesday July 2.
Inhalt:
To represent a graph or a partial order geometrically is a natural goal in itself, such a representation provides visual access to the underlying abstract structure.
In addition, however, such representations can be a valuable tool in the study of properties of the represented graph or order.
In these lectures we will touch most of the following topics:
Contact representations of planar graphs
Intersection representations of graphs and orders
Geometric representations and colorings
Orders and dimension theory
Stack and queue layouts of graphs
Crossing numbers
Geometric and topological graphs
Combinatorics of ordered sets
Zielgruppe:
Studentinnen und Studenten der Mathematik, Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik und der Informatik.
