Seminar: Stochastic Models in Neuroscience
(Current Topics in Computational Neuroscience)
The seminar takes place Wednesdays 9:30-11:00am at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin:
BCCN lecture hall
Haus 6
Philippstr. 13
10115 Berlin
Talks of students and invited speakers on current topics theoretical and computational neuroscience.
Focus topic: “Dynamics of variability in neural circuits of the brain”
Learning Outcomes
Acquisition of deeper knowledge in current research topics of computational neuroscience. Students will be able to search relevant actual literature to a given topic, and present their results in a talk and a written report.
Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:
A solid foundation in mathematics (analysis, linear algebra, probability). Basic knowledge of neuroscience and/or cognitive science will be an advantage.
