Contents:
Many physical processes are modelled via differential equations. If the system contains constraints to the state (e.g. conservation laws or that the system dynamics is on a manifold) then the mathematical model also contains algebraic equations. Such systems are called differential-algebraic systems. In this course the theory and numerics of differential- algebraic equations will be presented.
