Discrete Minimal Surfaces

The pictures below show discrete analogues of famous minimal surfaces. They are polyhedral surfaces with planar faces that have inscribed circles. Only the circular disks are shown. These discrete minimal surfaces are the topic of [7]. This is joint work with Alexander Bobenko and Tim Hoffmann.
