RealLie: A software package for real representations of quasi-simple Lie groups
written by
Richard Bödi and
Michael Joswig
The RealLie sofware package computes
- the possible dimensions of real representations of quasi-simple Lie groups
- the centralizers and the kernels of the representations
- the isomorphism type of the representation
The RealLie software package enables you to
- determine all real representations of all quasi-simple Lie groups within a given range of dimensions
- answer the question whether or not there exists a specific representation of a given Lie group
- print plain TeX tables of representations
The RealLie software package consists of three main components
- Generate creates a file containing information about real representations of quasi-simple Lie groups
- Filter browses files created with the Generate command and extracts specific information
- TeXit converts the output of Generate and Filter into TeX files
Sample pdf files of tables created with TeXit: [ A1(C,0) ] [ B2(R,2)] [ D4(R,2) ]
The RealLie software package is written in ANSI C and has been tested under various UNIX dialects (including LINUX), MacOS, and AmigaOS.
