These notes have been written for the course
"Computerorientierte Mathematik I," held in fall
1993. They comprise most of the "basics" of C++, that
is, how to use C++ simply as a "better C" (C++
without classes). Object-oriented features are
considered only marginally. (This is a topic of
"Comp.Math. II.") These notes are not
intended to serve as an introduction for absolute
beginners. Rather, they are addressed to students who
have already done this course (or a similar course),
and should be a good basis for them to recall the
matter afterwards, to learn systematically about all
the details omitted in the lectures, and to do further
studies on their own.
