jpot is a java library that can deal with the database and other files iTunes creates on Apple's iPod. Additionally, it is planned to implement some basic operations on the database.
jpot is well-designed; it aims at giving you the best possible performance.
The initial release was made 8 March 2005. The current release was made 25 July 2005. The size of the tar.gz file is 122kB.

In the current release, there is a command line interface. Wow! With java 1.4 (other versions will probably do as well) installed, type
at the prompt of your favorite command line interpreter. A help page will be displayed explaining the options.
By reporting bugs or asking for new features you'll make me very happy.
Thanks to all those who contributed to the wiki document at
clarifying the structure of the iTunes database. This saved so much work. Currently you may call this document the jpot specification. A snapshot of the document is included in the doc subdirectory of the distribution.
