The course will be based on the first eight chapters of the book Basic Topology by Armstrong:

  • The fundamental group
  • Triangulations
  • Surfaces
  • Simplicial homology

Exam

There will be weekly homework assignments to hand in before the tutorials.
Requirement to take part at the exam is the achivement of 50% of the homework points.

It is no longer a written exam, but it has been switched to oral exams. The first round will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, February 10, 11 and 12 in room MA 603. Time slots can be reserved starting from the lecture on Monday, February 3.
