ANTS

7th Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium

Technische Universität Berlin 23 - 28 July 2006

ANTS VII

Since their inception in Cornell in 1994, the biennial ANTS meetings have become the premier international forums for the presentation of new research in computational number theory. They are devoted to algorithmic aspects of number theory, including elementary number theory, algebraic number theory, analytic number theory, geometry of numbers, algebraic geometry, finite fields, and cryptography.

The seventh Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium (ANTS VII) was held Sunday, July 23rd to Friday, July 28th, 2006 at Technische Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany and was organised by the KANT group. The scientific program contained invited and contributed talks, and a poster session. The papers presented in the contributed talks appear in the ANTS VII proceedings. The author of the best contributed paper was awarded the Selfridge Prize in Computational Number Theory.

ECRYPT Workshop

An ECRYPT workshop took place at TU Berlin on the afternoon of July 28th and the morning of July 29th. This informal research meeting open to all interested researchers was aimed directly at ANTS VII and Ecrypt participants interested in doing joint research on cryptanalysis of asymmetric primitives.

Magma 2006 conference

After ANTS VII, from July 30th to August 2nd 2006, the Magma 2006 Conference was held at Technische Universität Berlin. It was organized by the Magma group, in conjunction with members of the KANT group. This was the fifth in a series of international Magma meetings.
