Travel Information and Conference Location

Berlin can be easily reached by plane, by train, and by car. Within the city you will find an excellent public transportation system.

Traveling to Berlin...

...by plane

There are three airports in Berlin: Berlin Tegel (TXL) is closest to the conference location and the hotels we suggest on our accommodation page. Simply take bus line X9 to reach Ernst-Reuter-Platz after 20 minutes. From Schönefeld (SXF) take e.g., S-Bahn line S9 and exit at Tiergarten station after 45 minutes.

...by train

The closest train station is Berlin Zoologischer Garten (a.k.a. Berlin Zoo). From there is it a 10-15 minutes walk to the conference location; check this map. Alternatively, take bus line 145 and exit at Ernst-Reuter-Platz.

...by car

You may wish to check here. The "main campus" referred to on these pages is just opposite the maths building. Parking free of charge is possible right in front of the maths building.

In the City...

Public transportation is very convenient and operated all day. A ticket is 2 Euro. You will need Euro coins or bills to operate the vending machines. Buy an AB ticket. In buses you can pay the driver. Here is a printable plan of the subway/city train network.
